For tennis players in their sophomore year of high school, the recruiting process will soon be off to the races.  Starting on June 15th, Division I and Division II coaches can begin communicating with potential recruits who will be high school juniors in the Fall.  (Division III coaches are already able to contact recruits.)  In advance of the June 15th kickoff, it is generally a good idea for recruits to proactively reach out to schools that they’re interested in.  This can help get you on the list of recruits that a coach is planning to contact on the 15th.  And if you’re already on the list, it can demonstrate how interested you are.  For more information on how to determine which schools are a good fit for you from a tennis standpoint, see my post about using Universal Tennis Rating scores to identify safeties, targets, and reaches.
